YOUR GUIDES
Tiphaine Ravenel Bonetti
Tiphaine first arrived in Nepal in 1989. Within two weeks, she found herself the youngest participant in a silent retreat at what was then a small monastery outside of the Kathmandu valley. In college, Tiphaine returned to continue her study of Buddhism for a year. In 1999, she returned again as a newlywed and made Nepal home for three years, working as a Reproductive Health Advisor for a joint venture between the German and Nepalese governments and giving birth to her first child. Moving her small family home in 2002, Tiphaine worked as a nurse, grew her family and continued her yoga and meditation practices, returning to Nepal whenever she could. In 2015, Tiphaine began an extensive study of Shamanic journeying and was awe-struck by the ways the practice awakened the energetic heart of Buddhism. Currently, she runs a private practice in Depth Hypnosis, a therapeutic model that embraces both Shamnic journeying and Buddhist thought. She has three adult children and a loving husband and calls Boulder, Colorado home. Tiphaine looks forward to supporting retreatants in allowing Nepal to awaken within them that which is longing to be known yet needs the power of place and practice to be experienced.

Shannon Harriman
Since her childhood in the forests and along the lake shores of Maine, Shannon has been an aspiring naturalist. Her time spent in wild places inspired in her a deep sense of connection and reverence for the natural world. Her draw to contemplative practices brought her on a journey to Asia, where she built her home in Nepal for more than a decade. In the shadows of the Himalayas she dove deeply into her study of the ancient tradition of classical yoga and cultivated a lasting Buddhist meditation practice. During this time, she also worked as a professional teacher and facilitator for Sojourn Nepal and Where There Be Dragons, developing experiential curriculum, creating ceremony, and cultivating her skill of holding space to witness, embrace and be in the full presence of others.
Shannon is currently homesteading in the Appalachian hills of western Virginia, homeschooling her two children and attempting to align her life with the Great Turning, a worldview that fosters connection to the earth and regenerative practices. She and her partner created and run a nature connection camp during the summers in Colorado.
